The "Huawei Cup" 22nd China Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling concluded on Dec 7 with an awards ceremony at the China University of Mining and Technology. Shandong University secured a total of 81 national awards, solidifying its position among leading universities in the nation.
SDU's impressive success included 2 First Prizes, 36 Second Prizes, and 43 Third Prizes. The university was also recognized as an outstanding organizing institution for its exceptional performance and participation.
Two teams stood out for their First Prize wins. Guided by Professor Hao Quanrui from the School of Electrical Engineering, students Kong Lingyi, Yan Xiaoran, and Zhang Chenshuo tackled the complex challenge of intelligent fault diagnosis of high-speed train bearings. They developed a "feature extraction-source domain diagnosis-cross-domain transfer-interpretable analysis" framework to address issues like noise interference, scarce fault samples, and inconsistent cross-condition data, offering solid technical support for monitoring bearing conditions.
Another winning team, mentored by Professors Hu Pengfei and Luan Junfeng from the School of Computer Science and Technology, also addressed high-speed train bearing diagnostics. Xu Yingzhen, Zhang Xunyi, and You Guoliang focused on the cross-domain diagnostic challenge between laboratory data and real-world operational data. Their research addressed the problem of scarce fault data and enabled accurate fault diagnosis across varying conditions. The team's work provides reliable technical support for intelligent operation and maintenance and offers a practical reference for critical component health management in rail transit.
